Our Approach and Strengths
META Foundation is well positioned, and its uniqueness include:
- Extensive Experience and Proven Track Record: META Foundation has a long history of implementing successful social development projects in Ghana, focusing on health, agriculture, livelihoods, gender empowerment, and peacebuilding. We have partnered with various international organizations such as UNDP, USAID, IFDC, and UNICEF, Ghana Aids Commission, Plan International, Star Ghana Foundation demonstrating our capability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong Local Presence and Knowledge: The team has deep-rooted connections with local communities, government bodies, and traditional authorities. Our understanding of the local culture, language, and socio-economic challenges allows us to effectively engage beneficiaries and ensure community buy-in.
- Focus on Vulnerable Populations: The foundation has extensive experience working with marginalized groups, particularly women, youth, and PWDs.
- Capacity to Mobilize and Scale: META Foundation has successfully implemented projects involving Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and other community-driven models that have empowered local populations to improve their livelihoods and wellbeing.
- Partnerships with Key Stakeholders: META Foundation has built strong relationships with local government departments, civil society organizations (CSOs), and the private sector. These partnerships enable us to leverage resources, knowledge, and institutional support in project interventions.
Our Mission
Our mission is “Work actively with disadvantaged communities in partnership with other organizations and agencies to empower the poor and vulnerable towards reducing poverty, discrimination, and marginalization"
Our vision is "to build a society of dignity devoid of poverty, ignorance and diseases.”
Who we are
META Foundation is a national Non-Profit Organization (NPO) established in June 2007 and incorporated in March 2009 with the Registrar General Department and the Department of Social Welfare of Ghana. META Foundation works actively with women, youth, PWDs through partnership and collaborations with development partners.
