Dr. Martin Akogti holds a PhD in Development Studies, with a thesis focused on Export Behaviour and SMEs Performance in Ghana’s Industrial Arts and Craft Sector. He also holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, a BSc in Agricultural Technology, and various diploma certificates in International Trade, Trade Policies & Diplomacy, Rural Entrepreneurship, Export Promotion/Marketing Strategy, Import–Export Quality Inspection and Quarantine, Trade Policy and Negotiations, Theology, and Ministerial Ethics.
He is currently a Board Member at META Foundation, bringing over 10 years of experience as a trained export promotion professional with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA). In this role, Martin specializes in promoting and helping export trade in Ghana, particularly within the Non-Traditional Exports (NTEs) sector. His ability also extends to business consulting and training in entrepreneurship and innovation management, where he serves as a part-time lecturer.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Martin is an ordained Senior Pastor with High Powered Ministries International and a founding member of Christ Leaders World, an inter-denominational Christian ministry. He has been instrumental in Christian leadership training and serves as a consultant to various churches and Christian organizations, promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
